Chicken Caesar Wrap: You only need four ingredients for this delicious wrap — a few shortcuts make these wraps come together ridiculously quick!
Chicken Caesar Wrap
As ordinary as they are, a good Caesar salad is one of my favorites! I often grab a packaged Caesar salad to go with a more time-intensive meal like lasagna or Ragu. Making both from scratch on a weeknight, especially during the back-to-school rush, is just too much!
Today, I’m using a salad mix, adding tomatoes or avocado for some oomph, chicken for staying power, and wrapping it all up in a tortilla for a simple and tasty meal!
Chicken Caesar Wrap Ingredients
- Flour tortillas: Use medium to large tortillas for easier wrapping.
- Chopped Caesar salad kit: Any brand works; make sure it includes dressing, cheese, and croutons. I like the “chopped” bag because the croutons are crushed, and the lettuce is chopped smaller!
- Avocado or tomato: Choose ripe avocado or a large, juicy tomato for extra flavor.
- Frozen crispy chicken strips: Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips or Bare Crispy Chicken cooks up quickly in the oven or air fryer. You can also use rotisserie chicken or homemade crispy chicken strips.
How to Make Chicken Caesar Wraps
- Cook chicken strips according to package directions (oven or air fryer).
- Mix salad: Add salad mix and dressing to a large bowl, toss until coated.
- Prepare tortillas: Lay out tortillas and divide the salad evenly among them.
- Add toppings: Place tomato or avocado slices on top of the salad.
- Add chicken: Lay cooked chicken strips on top.
- Wrap it up: Roll tortillas tightly, cut in half, and enjoy immediately!
How to Meal Prep
- Cook chicken: Prepare and store in the fridge.
- Prep salad: Keep salad mix and dressing separate.
- Store separately: Keep tortillas, salad, chicken, and veggies in separate containers.
- How to assemble one wrap when ready: Mix a small amount of salad with a small amount of dressing, add to tortillas with chicken and veggies, then roll up.
What to Serve with Chicken Caesar Wraps
Chicken Caesar Wraps are delicious by themselves, but adding some simple sides can make your meal even better. Here are some ideas:
- Fruit Salad: My favorite fruit salad with the most amazing 3-ingredient dressing!
- Roasted Sweet Potatoes: Baked or air-fried, these are crispy and a little sweet.
- Chips and Guacamole: Crunchy tortilla chips with creamy guac are a perfect match.
- Soup: A light vegetable or creamy chicken soup is perfect when the weather is chilly.
- Pasta Salad: This easy pasta salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives is so good! And, it’s easy to prep ahead.
Variations
Chicken Caesar Wrap Variations
- Add some heat: Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top.
- Lower-calorie option: Use a light Caesar salad dressing instead of the one in the package.
- Homemade dressing: If you prefer homemade dressings, make your own! (My favorite Caesar dressing is on these Caesar Salad Pizzas.)
- Extra veggies: Add sliced bell peppers, shredded carrots, or cucumber for more crunch.
- Add herbs: Sprinkle fresh parsley or basil for some more flavor.
- Add bacon: Add crispy bacon diced bacon!
Storage
How to Store Chicken Caesar Wraps
- Unwrapped: Keep the salad mix and chicken in separate containers in the fridge for up to 2 days. Put together and add dressing when ready to eat.
- Wrapped: If already made, wrap in plastic wrap and store in the fridge. Eat within 1 day. Don’t add dressing if storing to keep it fresh.
