The Best Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade
These raspberry and blackberry lemonades have been a summer favorite at my house! If you have kids, you know berries disappear fast. So when I went to make raspberry lemonade and realized I was out—but had blueberries—I knew it was time to switch things up and make blueberry lemonade.
And let me tell you, this one is a winner. It’s a little different from my other lemonades because it uses sparkling water, making it extra tangy and refreshing. I can’t get enough—it’s the perfect summer drink, especially with blueberries!
Ingredients
- Sugar: Use superfine sugar so it dissolves faster!
- Water: Helps dissolve the sugar to make a smooth syrup.
- Blueberries: Strain well for a smoother blueberry lemonade!
- Lemons: Zest before juicing to get the most out of them!
- Ice Cubes: Keeps the lemonade cold and crisp.
- Sparkling Water: Stir in just before serving to keep it bubbly!
[qucktip]For more flavor, mash a few fresh blueberries and lemon slices in the pitcher before adding the syrup and sparkling water. It brings out the fruity taste and makes the lemonade look even better![/quicktip]
How To Make Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade
- Make syrup: Stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick.
- Strain & cool: Press the berries to get more flavor in your lemonade!
- Juice lemons: If you make lemonade often, try using an electric juicer.
- Mix it up: Chill the pitcher first to keep the lemonade cold longer!
- Add fizz & serve: Only add ice to what you’ll drink right away.
Storage
If you won’t finish this lemonade in a day, keep the juice (blueberry syrup and lemon juice) separate from the sparkling water. Mix them just before serving.

I am thinking about using this for a program that we do with girls in the summer, but I need to make it without sugar for a diabetic staff member. Can you use splenda or truvia instead of sugar?
I’m sure you could! I haven’t tried alternative sweeteners, but if you scale it down based on the ratio of artificial sweetener to sugar, it should work great!
Can we freeze the blueberry syrup to be used after a few days?
I’ve never tried freezing it, but I don’t see why that wouldn’t work. Enjoy! ๐
I am the same way when it comes to drink -water, coffee, wine occasionally but I think this summer Iโll make room for refreshing drinks such as this blueberry lemonade. Looks incredible!
If making by the single glass, would you use equal amounts of juice and sparkling water?
This looks so good! But because of where I live, I can’t buy fresh blueberries without paying a fortune, if we get any at all. Do you think this would work using frozen blueberries?
I’m sorry; I’ve never tried frozen blueberries so I can’t say for sure! I don’t see why they wouldn’t work though!

Chelsea I absolutely love your photos and have been following your blog for a while. I was wondering if you use a Lightroom preset for your pictures, and if you do, could you please tell me which one? Thanks!
Thank you so much Richa! ๐ I started with LR presets and have since created my own preset to what I use for pretty much all my photos! I one I started with is Fuji Superia 200, hope that helps ๐
