Get into the Halloween spirit with these spooky Oreo Balls! Crushed Oreos and cream cheese combine into a creamy, chocolatey center, rolled into bite-sized treats.
Pulse the Oreos (including the cream) in a food processor or blender until they become fine crumbs. Using a hand mixer, beat the Oreo crumbs and cream cheese together until well combined.
Roll the mixture into balls and chill them in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
Melt the candy melts or chocolate chips according to package instructions. If needed, add a small amount of vegetable oil to thin the mixture. Place a chilled truffle ball on a fork, spoon the melted candy/chocolate over the ball, and tap the fork to remove excess. Slide the ball onto parchment paper.
Immediately decorate each truffle as described in note 2. Allow to dry completely before serving.
Pumpkin Truffles: orange candy melts, mini green M&M’s, pretzel pieces for stems

Mummy Truffles: white chocolate chips, edible eyes
Witch Truffles: dark green candy melts, black licorice laces, thin Oreos, Hershey’s kisses, edible eyes, and green flat sprinkle (optional for a wart)
Spider Truffles: milk chocolate chips, black licorice laces, edible eyes, brown jimmies sprinkles
Frankenstein Truffles: green candy melts, pretzel pieces for bolts, edible eyes, black sparkle gel for mouth, brown jimmies sprinkles
Owl Truffles: milk chocolate chips, mini Oreos, blue M&M’s for eyes, orange M&M for beaks, chocolate jimmies sprinkles

Monster Truffles: dip in melted purple candy melts, then sprinkle the top with light purple sprinkles and press a large edible eye into the center.
Pumpkin Truffles: dip in melted orange candy melts, add pretzel pieces for stems, and stick in a green M&M for the leaf.
Bat Truffles: dip in melted milk chocolate chips, break apart and press in thin Oreos for wings, add 2 edible eyes.
Mummy Truffles: dip in melted white chocolate chips. Transfer some of the melted white chocolate into a bag and cut off the tip. Drizzle all over the truffle and press in 2 edible eyes.
Witch Truffles: dip in melted dark green candy melts, attach black licorice laces for hair, attach a kiss to the top of a thin Oreos with melted chocolate. Add edible eyes and a green sprinkle if desired for a wart.
Spider Truffles: dip in melted milk chocolate chips, attach black licorice laces for legs, attach edible eyes, sprinkle brown jimmies sprinkles on top.
Frankenstein Truffles: dip in melted green candy melts, press in pretzel pieces for bolts, attach edible eyes, draw a mouth on with black sparkle gel for mouth, add chocolate jimmies sprinkles on top for hair.
Owl Truffles: dip in melted milk chocolate, attach mini Oreos for eyes with a mini blue M&M’s on top, attach orange M&M for beaks, and sprinkle chocolate jimmies sprinkles on top for hair.
Storage:Store in an airtight container, separated by parchment or wax paper, in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. (Due to the cream cheese, these truffles must be refrigerated.)
