This Turkey Sandwich is a winner! Crunchy toasted bread stacked with turkey, thin apple slices, crispy bacon, melted Gouda, and fresh greens with a light dressing—it’s the perfect mix of flavors and textures!
Combine all dressing ingredients in a mason jar. Add salt and pepper to taste, then shake well to combine. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to broil, setting the rack in the center position. Let the oven fully heat.
Spread softened butter evenly over both sides of each bread slice. If you like, sprinkle a small amount of garlic powder over the butter.
Arrange the buttered bread slices on a baking sheet and broil for 45-90 seconds, watching carefully until golden. Flip the slices and broil the other side until nicely toasted. Remove from the oven.
Remove 4 slices of toasted bread from tray and set aside for now. On the remaining 4 slices, spread mayo (about 1 tablespoon per slice, or to taste). Layer the turkey slices, thin apple slices, 2 bacon slices per sandwich, and a slice of Gouda.
Return the sandwiches to the oven and broil for 30-90 seconds, just until the cheese melts. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
Remove from the oven. Top the melted cheese with a handful of mixed greens and drizzle with the prepared dressing.
Add the reserved bread slices on top, press gently, and serve immediately.

Storage: These Turkey Sandwiches are best right out of the oven! They can get soggy fast, so enjoy them while they're fresh!
